Difficulty with social interaction and navigating peer relationships are defining features of people living with disability but worry not and enter to broaden your social experiences and go forth to be a people person all in the light of Amos Care’s Community Participation’s supports. Amosing on the social participation of NDIS participants, this design aims at improving NDIS participants’ social life, building on their interpersonal and independence skills and creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment to boost their productivity and self-esteem.
Moreover, Amos Care offers Community Day Programs; a slew of social and recreational activities addressing eligible participants’ interests, needs and goals. The program actively encourages participants to live life to the full. Community Activities’ services are safely provided in various settings – be it individual or group-based activities. They include but are not limited to:
- Opportunities to develop and practice independence skills
- Assistance with social outings such as going to movies or attending concerts
- Support with scheduled transport services
- Access to skilled training specialists and support workers
- Organized sports and maintaining fitness
- Taking up personal interests, recreational activities, arts and crafts activities
- Socializing and peer support
- Therapeutic group programming
